A collaboration full of challenges due to the low temperatures we were facing in Nova Scotia, and these photos might've captured an amazing experience but all this was possible to the incredible support from Gabriel, Shania, Genevieve, Emily and Sara because they really put up with the weather to be able to finish this project ...a forever thank you to them!

The entire project had the objective to deliver a true unique experience for everyone, we wanted to capture real emotions and captive the brand’s audience.

THE PLANNING PROCESS

Design Thinking

I have a process in place to strategize the photoshoot following the brand’s guidelines, because many might think – just show up and take photos, however, there are several key elements we have to consider prior to any photoshoot such as location, clothing, staging, concept, and many others. There are a few key components playing in the background to ensure a fun and successful collaboration and this is a high-level for this project:

Here’s where I spend time learning about the brand, online presence, products and targeted audience to fully understand what needs to be delivered.

The Planning

The most challenging part to accommodate availability to the desired locations, weather, concepts and outfits coordination, involving a very significant amount of time in the preparation.

Photoshoot

Usually the fun part, however, sometimes we need to be creative due to weather conditions, locations and models availability.

Content Editing

Finally, the reveal and editing process of all the content taken during the project, from identifying the best photos to fixing those that need corrections.

CONTENT DESIGN

Formatting

The content is properly cropped out for social media channels and styled from Posts to Stories size dimentions. Content formats are prepare data for observation or interpretation with the objective to deliver emotions by maintaing the brand guidelines and objectives.

In other words, the cropping process ensures the content is ready for all social media platforms offering different options and styles to captivate the targeted audience.

Product Experience

As stated above, during the study phase there were key elements I focused to ensure the content will reflect their brand elements such as; water, exploration and a fun experience.

This process is critical because it reflects and will showcase the company brand and its identity. And during any project I undertake, I have a very collaborative approach that ensures models understand outfits, locations and concepts play a key factor in the overall final product and success of the project.

This is the result of a very fun and incredible collaboration with amazing people who helped me accomplish this project during very challenging weather conditions …however, this is a glimpse of hundreds of photos delivered to Vessi for their marketing campaigns and social media presence.
